Happy Mother’s Day Eve!
I, for one, am feeling very enthusiastic about celebrating Mother’s Day. Every day I put my family’s needs before my own and damn it I need recognition for all I do!
My kids have not skipped a meal since the day they were born. They have no idea what Burger King, Taco Bell, Kentucky Fried Chicken, or Wendy’s taste like, and that’s just to name of few.
Four years ago, we were out extremely late for July 4th, and by the time we made it out of traffic all the restaurants were closed. So we drove around for a little while just to make sure and finally, we settled on the only place that was open…Mc Donalds. It broke my heart to pull up to the drive-thru but we didn’t have any other choice.
However, my kids refused to take a bite!
They knew that the burgers were not real meat, and the fries were covered in salt. So they were scared to eat. So I decided to whip up some sandwiches at 1:00 am. They gobbled them up, showered, and went to bed.
They remember that day and we laugh about it. Especially my oldest because she is the pickiest of the three. She knows that I would never make her eat anything that goes against her taste buds. And no matter how tired I am, I will always make sure they have a full belly.
My kids and my husband are my reason, and I choose to take care of them and shower them with love. But on Mother’s Day, they better roll out the RED CARPET and step up and make me feel like the queen I am.
I want gifts, a big dinner, dessert, and lots of laughs!
You could have chosen any blog to read, but you chose mine, and I’m honored!
