I have wanted to try this for so long, but until today I never google how to do it. I am now hooked on this style, and I’m going to be a pie-making nut this holiday season!￼
It’s unbelievable how easy this was, and it changed the whole look of my dinner. I always like my family to feel like I went above and beyond at dinner time.
I can’t get enough of the “this looks fantastic” or “you always work so hard for us”
Let’s face it, it is hard work trying to think of new meals every day and trying to keep dinner fresh and exciting.
Then let’s throw in the fact there are 5 of us, and we all have pretty healthy appetites. This means that the grocery bill can add up quickly if you aren’t smart with your list and making meals that can pull double duty throughout the week are a must.
I’ll get into that in another post, but for now, let’s get to making this beauty.
If you are having a busy day, pick up a package of Pillsbury pie crust, roll it out and give it an extra tug to stretch it out a little. If you have a rolling pin then give it a couple of rolls before you slice it to make your strips.
This will ensure that all of your pieces will be long enough to go across the dough.
