I Would Be Dead

Day 12 of  30

Mind Body and Soul Transformation

Today I wanted to share with you a little something that I tell my kids. I am a firm believer that you have to do things that will please you and spend zero effort in looking for others’ approval.

Trying to seek other folks’ approval is the worse thing you can do! Not to mention a massive waste of time. Not everyone has your vision, and therefore, they lack the ability to fully understand why you choose to do the things you do.

For instance, my daughter wrote a book and published it a little over a year ago. When I was helping her edit her book, I never tried to change the theme, the plot, or anything significant because it was her vision. My job was to read it to the end so that I could gain a full understanding of HER book. Never once did I stop editing her book so that I could ask why she wrote something a certain way and suggest that she changes it.

That wasn’t my right to do that, nor was it my right to question her every move. All I needed to do was read to the end!

Often enough, we are surrounded by naysayers that will belittle your vision and your accomplishments. Some come disguised as the most beautiful creatures, but if you pay attention, they will be exposed. Don’t feel sad when you rip the mask off of them, feel relief, and let them go.

Pray for them and their ridiculously small minds.

Within the last three years, I have been blessed to start two businesses and one on the way. Never once did I bring light to any negativity thrown my way. I whipped and nae naed right on by and focused on my vision. I knew that I didn’t need anyone’s approval in order for my story to be born.

The one THING  I know for sure is this. If my life depended on gaining the approval of others…..

I would be dead!

You could have chosen any blog to read, but you chose mine, and I’m honored!
