Do These 5 Things To Drop Weight During Quarantine

Put down those chips and dip for a minute and listen up! I don’t want anyone to feel unhealthy when we come out of quarantine. I need everyone to spend this time getting those summer bodies together and not overfeeding those winter bodies.

If you stick to a workout that you can handle and don’t over commit, then you last throughout the days of being in quarantine! Read More

Strong Women Will!

Women stay strong and know that every time you fall, you have another real woman to help you up.

This will always be factual if you only allow realness in your circle.

I get so frustrated when I see strong women put each other down and compete compete compete; it’s as if we don’t realize that we are stronger together. Read More

Truth About Losing Weight

Have you ever went to the gym and looked around at all the in shape folks and thought how the hell did you accomplish losing all that weight and continue to stay so firm?

I have to admit that I have asked that question on several occasions. I’m supposed to be concentrating on my workout, but I can’t help but stare at the lady beside me. Now my staring really gets intense if its a lady that started her fitness journey just a little time ago, and now she looks like she created the word fit. Read More

I’m Here

I’ve noticed lately that when I’m greeted with a ” Hi, How are you doing?” I often reply with an “I’m here” After I say it, the other person says, “I know that’s right.”

Then I reply with, “The struggle is real.” Here is the bottom line, I’m over it and will no longer say that mess! Read More

This seat is taken

Stop trying to be someone else!!! Why is this so hard to do? I mean, can we just stop looking at each other and taking notes. Be you, Be DIFFERENT. Trying to fit in is one thing, but trying to take on the personality or tone of another is flat out ridiculous. I tell my kids to be different. Do not conform to predigested thoughts and ideas. BE YOU.

Do you realize how taxing it is to try to be someone other than yourself? You are always in competition with someone and coming up short. At some point, you have to come to understand that sit is already taken. Find out why you are so unhappy with you and fix it.

Over the summer, my daughter and I watched a great deal of Catfish. This is a televised show on MTV/Hulu. Catfish is about people taking on the face/personality of someone else and fooling people over social media. The Catfish usually take photos of someone that they don’t know personally, but they like what they see. They know that by using this person’s picture, they will attract the type of person that they desperately desire to be. I genuinely feel that the catfish actually start to feel better about themselves when they are portraying to be someone else.

I am always sad after the show. Okay, so here comes Nev and Max with the Victim (the person that was catfished), and they knock on the catfish door and out walks a blue sole.  I can not tell you how many times an overweight person walks out the door with their head down and looking so pitiful. The Catfish usually will say,
“I know that I am not what you expected and I am so sorry, I didn’t mean to hurt you, but I loved how it felt when you desired to be with me, and I knew if you saw me you wouldn’t want to talk to me anymore.” The catfish continues with, ” Everything about our relationship was real EXCEPT, I’m not who you thought I was.”

I just want to reach in that TV and grab the catfish and tell them that they are enough.  Spend time and work on your internal self. Once you love yourself and remove anyone and anything that reminds you of what you use to be or even worse, what you never were but what they wanted you to be. Stop trying to be someone else and stand in your truth, and love it.

It is incredible how good you feel about yourself when you start to eat clean, workout and start to better yourself mentally. For sure, it is okay to have someone that motivates you to be better, but don’t take it to an unhealthy place.

I speak from a familiar place, I wasn’t always confident. I felt like I wasn’t good enough, pretty enough, smart enough, or talented enough. I always wanted to change things about me that would make me a little more desirable. But then I realized that feeling this way about myself is a waste of time. I’m losing valuable time, I’m losing at life. So I decided to stop focusing on the things that I hated about me and instead what I LOVE. My confidence and self-love grew. I stopped looking at the already taken seat and sat in my own….wearing my crown and all.

Checking On The Check

My husband always says, “Checking on the check.” He says this whenever he is checking on anything and making sure it is what it’s supposed to be. I have to admit that I steal most of his sayings because they usually make a lot of sense. But this one is my favorite. I found myself saying it when I’m checking out my gains or lack thereof. Are You Summertime Fine

Now you all know that you want to be in the best shape of your life this summer so let’s go!!!! The weather is now turning and I am ready to throw on a bathing suit and head to the beach. Who’s with me?

Okay, let me break this down. I am sick and tired of summertime rolling around and I’m sitting here feeling like an Oompa Loompa in my shorts. To hell with that, not this year!  I am about to live my best life while getting my life. Let me tell you how.

On Monday, April 29th I am starting my 30 day Get Fit With Kelli Challenge. During this challenge, I will lay out what workouts you are to do for the week. The workouts will consist of:

  • Cycling
  • Runnin
  • Walking
  • Weights
  • HIIT Drills
  • Dancing
  • MOST OF ALL FUNNNNNNNNN

I want everyone to commit to working out for 60 minutes EVERYDAY. You can choose to break it up and do 20, 20, 20 or 30, 30 or the method that I recommend 60 minutes all at once.

Here are my stats from last week. This will give you an idea of what I aiming for during the next 30 days.

It is so important to raise your heart rate every day and to drink at least half your body weight in water.

Secondly, Rest make sure you are getting enough rest. What’s enough rest? For me, this means 8 hours but we are all different so it is important to find out what works for your body. Without rest, weight loss goals will not be met because your body responds best when you are fully recovered from the day before. For instance, I remember being in college and studying for my exams. I had 6 classes that required me to be rested if I wanted to recall all the material. I couldn’t stay up late night after night and think that I would successfully get through my classes. Your body works the exact same way.

Lastly, and the most important piece that will change your life is the nutrition aspect of this challenge. Let me speak for myself and say that if I eat whatever I want and then go to the gym and damn near kill myslef for 3 hours I will lose 0 pounds. As a matter of fact, I will blow up and gain enough weight to get me through winter hibernation. Oh, wait I’m not a bear, but I can definitely eat like one and sound like one if you try to take my plate away. But I have changed the way I see food and I will give it my all to help you as well.

Transforming My Life

Last week I embarked on a journey that is sure to change my life. I started Transform 20 and let me tell you, it might only be 20 minutes but you are down in it without any breaks. A modification is encouraged if you need a break, BUT don’t STOP!

Shaun T is the creator of this workout so you know you are going to be rolling your eyes and wanting to kick over the TV.

Or is that just me?

I Have to admit that I have a Love, Hate relationship with that man. He will push you and I swear I am cursing him out the entire time. I remember the first that I worked out to his Insanity program I thought to myself, this man has lost his mind. But I quickly became hooked. Insanity helped me get into the best shape of my life. My last baby was turning 2 and I was determined to tweak this crickety body back to what it once was. Shockingly I was able to accomplish my goal with hard work and a kick butt nutrition plan.

So then life happened and homegirl put back on some unwanted pounds but I had fun doing it. Zero regrets because I am blessed to be able to move and go back to where I was. But the sad fact is……I’m older, which means my metabolism died. Okay maybe it didn’t die. But it definitely had one foot in the grave.

I am depending on Shaun T to save me and my clients. Shaun T pushes me to be my best and then I return push my clients. Well most of them, my older clients would run me over if I tried Transform 20 with them.

Here is a sneak peak of the 1st week of the program. If you like what you see and would like to change your body with me then leave me your email/phone number.
