Ask a LADY

Do you want to know how to treat a lady?

Do you want to know how to get a lady?

Do you want to know how to keep a lady?

If you answered yes to all of the above, please listen up! The answer is so simple, and it has nothing to do with Steve Harvey because what does he know about what a woman truly wants? If you want to know anything about a woman, your best bet is to ask a woman.

When I read books by men telling men about us, it blows my mind. What are your credentials, sir? In case you didn’t know, we are very complex creatures, and there isn’t a man alive that can write a book detailing facts concerning who we are!!!!

I have been married for 21 years, and it is absolutely ridiculously ignorant to think that my husband can therefore write a book about what women want. He constantly tells me that I keep him on his toes, and he hasn’t figured me out. And even if he had figured me out, how does that make him qualified to tell anyone what ALL women want?

It’s a very aggressive and naive approach to put all women in a box. We are far too complex to be placed in a box.

Here’s the thing

The types of men that we are attracted to, and the things that get us going and keep us going are vastly different, and significant factors must be considered. Such as;

  1. Where is the female from
  2. Her ethnicity
  3. Her age
  4. Her past
  5. Does she have children

And those are just a few factors to consider. However, the bottom line is if you want to know what a lady wants, then ASK your lady, not a man or another lady.

Ask your LADY!

You could have chosen any blog to read, but you chose mine, and I’m honored!

  1. I feel the same way whenever I hear someone claim to be an expert on a type or group of people. I understand there may be similarities among Black women, gay guys, below average height guys, above average height women, etc. However, there’s no definitive way to handle all or even most people in their respective groups. Who is to say which traits or characteristics define someone they’ve never met?

    1. I couldn’t agree more. There may be slight simiarities with a few of the folks that belong to this group but definetly not enough to make assumotions on an entire group. Thank you so much for adding this to the conversation.

  2. You have made a very valid point. All women are different. The same thing goes for men. The person you should be asking is the one involved in the situation.

  3. Guuurrrrrllllll…Boomshakalaka! 🤜🏼🤛🏼 I am on the same page as you are Belladonna. How can someone like Steve Harvey (of course he knows everything, from relationships to religion to finances…NOT) have the audacity to write a bestseller about a topic he isn’t up to speed on, since this is his third wife he is on I believe? Honey chile you put it out there…ASK YOUR LADY! UGH! 😝 Very good points, especially when so many men are attracted to the superficial side of what some call beauty. Blows your mind right? 🤯😲😱

  4. it’s really impossible to figure anyone out, I’m guessing the trick is to not to expect to….like life, just let it happen….enjoy the journey…..
