YES you can

On Sunday, April 30th, I wrote a six-word story.

Change your mind; Change your life

If we put effort into changing the way we think, we can and will have the opportunity to live our best life. But to do that, we have to change the way we see ourselves and become our number fan.

The other day I was thinking about who I used to be. I have put limitations over my life without giving myself a chance. I called it quits before I had the opportunity to run the race because I doubted that I could win. I waited my entire adolescent years for someone to speak success over my life, and when I didn’t get it, I gave up on myself.

As hard as it may be, you have to speak power into your life!

If you wait for other people to tell you, YES, YOU CAN; you may be waiting your entire life.

If you wait for other people to clap for you, YOU MIGHT be waiting your entire life

If you are waiting for someone to pour into your dream, IT MAY just stay that, a dream

At some point in your life, you have to stand up for yourself and believe that you can do hard shit with or without people telling you, you can. The process of reaching your goals can be a long, painful road ahead, but with consistency and dedication, you can do all things.

Changing how you think and view your self-worth can leave you not caring what anyone thinks of you. You will no longer need anyone to stand up and clap for you. Instead, you will find joy in clapping for your damn self!

When someone tells you, you can’t; You say, yes, I can

When someone says your dream is too big; you say theirs is too small

When someone says they don’t believe in you; you say, I believe in myself

If you change the way you think, you can change your life.

You can do hard shit!

You could have chosen any blog to read, but you chose mine, and I’m honored!

  1. Honey chile, there are going to be folks lining up to tell you “that is impossible, so don’t even try it.” You have to be confident enough to have the courage to pursue your dreams, and whether or not you achieve them, at least you can’t say that you didn’t try! 👏🏼💪🏼👍🏼

  2. It’s true, you can’t sit around and wait for other people’s approval and validation. On days when no one is cheering and clapping, you’ve got to be your own fan. Inspiring ♥️♥️ thanks for sharing

  3. I recognize this very clearly – I have waited for ‘permission’ so amny times so long – and recognize it again and again as a pattern, to reclaim my life.

  4. My adolescent experience was similar, so I feel this strongly! This is a timely message that I needed to hear though, so thank you!🤗💚
