Saturday Workout Tip

It’s a fact that you can teach an old King/Queen new tricks!

I don’t care what anyone tells you about being too old to change your body. That is a bunch of bull, and you should ignore anyone that says “you will never get the body you want because you are too old.”

Let me tell you why!

There are 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, and 80-year-old fit women and men all around us. If they can do it, then so can you. There isn’t anything special about those older fit people. They just want it more than others.

Letter to my Kings and Queens

Dear beautiful people,

People may tell you it’s in your genes to be overweight and that you will never get your healthy body back once you have a baby.

And here’s one I love, “big bones run in our family, so we can’t help that we are as big as we are.” That is so far from the truth, and if you can show the world an x-ray of your BIG bones, you can shut every doctor up. Until then, know that many people carry a large amount of muscle on their bodies that some don’t. And because of your muscle mass, it will be more difficult for you to lose weight, but it can be done with consistency.

Age DOESN’T MATTER; getting older only means you need to find modifications and become more particular about your food choices. And most of all, GO TO SLEEP!

Set a bedtime and stick to it. Without rest, all of your lifestyle changes will be done in vain. So if you want to be healthy right now, stop putting an age limit on it.

You CAN be fit for your entire life. I believe in YOU and I hope you do to.

You could have chosen any blog to read, but you chose mine, and I’m honored!

  1. I avoid the diet question a lot, or try to find different ways to address it..because, well, the word diet has become such an awful word. Health, fit….eat real food, drink water…..and don’t learn to hate food….I watch what I eat every so often, but, well I’m watching a TV show right now that has me craving an Reuben….

    1. I don’t either. I think some use it to medicate for a bigger problem and then it becomes an addiction. Watching 600 pound life helped me understand that food is a drug and they will ruin their lives for it.

  2. “They just want it more than others. ” – a very simple yet a BIG difference this is. If it runs in the family, one can be who breaks the chain because they choose different. Our body is a reflection of what we live, eat & think. Keep inspiring & motivating my friend, you do it so well!

  3. Wow! Very interesting and inspiring post! Dear Belladonna, thank’s for share.
I believe it’s very mportant to cares about our body and our mind and soul too.
If you feel happy, in peace, calm, helps your body…
    Happy Saturday!

  4. I’m smiling here. If you like the body you have, regardless of the fits and starts it gives you, then you’ll be as fit as you need to be. Adapt, but carry on

    1. Loving the body you’re in should be the goal. However being healthy means you’ll be around a lot longer. Is that what you mean? Not sure I follow

      1. Yes, as you age you can’t do the same things in the same ways, but you adapt to who you are now, loving yourself enough to carry on. Does that make sense?

    2. Oh yes that makes sense and Zia couldn’t agree more. It seems like I’m constantly learning something new about me. It can be frustrating at times

  5. Girlfriend, thank you for keepin’ it real sistah! The kicker is not to compare yourself to others, just be the best you and take care of your mind, body and spirit regardless of how many years you have behind you. Such good advice ladybug! 🏃🏼‍♀️💪🏼🏋🏼‍♀️
