If Monday was a person

If Monday was a person, and you had to describe him/her in one word, what would it be?

If you have been on my blog long enough, you know I genuinely love Mondays Hello Monday You Sexy Thing. However, I have those rare Mondays when I feel robbed of a long, relaxing weekend. For some reason, this was one of those weekends.

Mondays offer a fresh new face for the week filled with endless possibilities. But today, I feel like a dump truck ran me over and then backed up so that they could proceed to run me over once again. So with that being said, I will pick my face up off the pavement and smush it back together, then get some work done!

Without further ado, If Monday was a person and I had to describe her in one word, that word would be BULLY.

Definition: Bully

a blustering, browbeating person

especially  one who is habitually cruel, insulting, or threatening to others who are weaker, smaller, or in some way vulnerable

tormented by the neighborhood bully

PIMP

a hired ruffian

Monday knows good and damn well I am smaller and weaker than her, but yet she continues to push me around. She is pulling my hair, calling me names, and giving me the side eye. But she doesn’t know that I will come for her once I drink my coffee and do my weight training.

I might not be as big as her, but she will not knock me out like she desperately wants to. She might have knocked me down when I first opened my eyes and stepped my toes on the floor, but she will never knock me out!

I’ve got this, and so do you!

Let’s give this day our all and set the tone for a fabulous week.

You could have chosen any blog to read, but you chose mine, and I’m honored!

  1. Belladonna, I am rolling on the floor, LMAO and thinking about you cussing Monday out! 😂😜🤣 Now I was too done with this:
“Monday knows good and damn well I am smaller and weaker than her, but yet she continues to push me around. She is pulling my hair, calling me names, and giving me the side eye.”

Oh nooooooo…not the side eye! 🤪👀😵 Girl, you are too much!!!

  2. Wow! Amazing post! Agree with you dear Beladonna.
My Monday brings to me the opportunity for star again, trying to do the best…

  3. Haha this was a hilarious post to read – I love your determination and dedication Belladonna & the lightheartedness you bring to some heavy days too :))) I totally trust you got this!! And sending you gentle compassionate love for everywhere you can use it. I cannot say it better than you : Mondays offer a fresh new face for the week filled with endless possibilities. Yes, you got this!

    1. LOLOL! I appreciate you so much. Monday showed up so rudely but sshee lightened up. as the day went on.
I try to laugh at myself and trust me I do it often. I’m a mess but in a good way…. I think. LOL

  4. I used to hate it when I worked in a massive hospital how everyone whinged about Monday. Problem was, as it was a 24/7 place with thousands working there, “Monday” was a very subjective term, and every day was cause for someone to whinge. I stopped using the lifts as that was where one of the 7 days of the week was predictably attacked in a template

      1. Negative thinking or positive thinking… each has nothing to do with intelligence. A lot of people think that being negative is akin to being intelligent 🤔 🤣

  5. My word for Mondays is usually B*tch, but today it was just BUSY!! At least the nephrologist is out of the way for 4 more months! 🧗‍♀️🧘‍♀️🤸😘

      1. I am, except my bp is still high. I have to start taking it every day again and keeping a diary of my readings. No big deal. ☺️

  6. Belladonna, your sense of humor rocks and the way you write had me laughing loudly! You are truly a character and I absolutely love the way you show who you are!!! You go and tell Monday to leave you alone and the way you did so, had me roaring!!

  7. I loved that 1980’s song titled “Just Another Manic Monday” with the lyrics “Wish it was Sunday- that’s my fun day” sung by the female group The Bangles and written by the one and only Prince.

I define Monday as Fresh and New as it begins another usual week that has not yet been written by us to be filled then completed.

    Great post!
