~Saturday Workout tip~

As you age, your body will change!

Love yourself enough to make the adjustments you need, and don’t dwell on what you used to be. That is the worse thing you can do for yourself and your mental health. You are hindering your personal growth when you hold on to the things you were able to do in your younger years or what you used to be.

With age comes modifications and weights. These two things are essential for bone health (weights) and safety (modifications).

Let the past go and focus on the beautiful, capable person you are today!

You could have chosen any blog to read, but you chose mine, and I’m honored!

  1. When we were younger, there was a focus on lifting weights to get in shape, but the bigger focus definitely seemed to be on cardio. It seems like that has flipped now. Both still important but lots more folks talking about weights. Am I right about that, or just me noticing it more? Now I’ve always leaned more to the cardio side. I suppose less scarier for me. Ha, ha! Thanks for the great info!

    1. Yes Brian that has definitely flipped. The older we get the more weights we need to lift. It doesn’t have to be a max weight but we need it to wake up our metabolism. Getting to know an ever changing body is a full time job! LOL

      1. Ugh, you’re killing me here! You’re supposed to be saying, “no, Brian, go ahead and have that beer and pizza, that counts as lifting.” Ha, ha. No, you’re right. I keep setting the alarm, but my metabolism keeps hitting the snooze button! I guess I need the weights to wake it up. It’s just never been a fun thing for me. Need to find a way to make it feel more like a game or play! And you’re right, this really is a full time job. I want paid! 😆😆😆😆🏋🏽

      2. LOLOLOLOLOLOL! if only it was that easy, I would be so fit!
That snooze button is my best friend. When you get up and hit the weights first thing in the morning you’ll see huge gains so quickly. I just wish the gains would stick no matter what! LOL

  2. Wow! Very inspiring message! Great post! Let´’s love our selves more=being more healthy.
Thank’s for share dear Belladonna. Have a lovely Saturday!

  3. Thank you for reminding me I shouldn’t run anymore. 😂 Teasing. Kind of. Dancing and yoga suit me better, but I do miss running. I appreciate your empowerment posts. Thank you!
