10 Minute Walks ~Down 10 POUNDS~

Cardio Queen OUT!

Working out is my thing. If you were to open my planner, the first thing you’ll see at the top of my daily to-do list is a list of exercises that will be completed. And since I have a list, I expect my clients to have their list written down.

There were some days that I worked out for a total of 3 hours. I would lift, run, complete an insanity workout or some sort of high-intensity training. Then I would hobble to my bathtub, pour a ton of Epson salt in my water, and soak my tired injured bones for at least 3o minutes. Then I started to read about the 40 and up club having knee and hip replacements, rotator cuff surgery, and every other injury you can think of. I began to reorder my steps because having surgery because of something I did is out of the question. The recovery time is insane, and you will have to start completely over in regards to rebuilding your muscles.

Scaling Back MY Food and Workout Time

The thought of scaling back on my workouts scared the shit out of me because the last thing I want is to gain weight. I know how my body works and how quickly I gain weight. So the thought of putting my fork down is quite real right about now. If I am restructuring the intensity level and lowering the number of workouts, then the fork has to come down. My caloric intake CAN NOT BE GREATER THAN calories burned.

Found The Answer

You are all going to read a lot about Stan Efferding on my blog because he saved my knees, hips, thighs, and the way I see exercise. After watching his videos on YouTube, I lost 10 pounds and added value back into my life. I kicked 3-hour workouts in the throat, and I now take three, ten-minute walks a day or ride my bike. As far as my cardio is concerned, I do 30 minute HIIT class (High-Intensity Interval Training) that includes weights.

When You Should You Take Your 10 Minute Walk

After each meal! Just that simple. These walks will help food digestion, decrease gas and bloating. Taking three short walks a day is proven to be more beneficial than a 6o minute workout. Staying active throughout the day is better for your metabolism than putting your body through strain for 60 minutes. Not to mention the fact that you’re saving yourself from injury.

A couple of times a week, I’m going to share more benefits of the 10-minute walks. As well as many more little tricks you can do to jump-start your metabolism and drop weight without stressing out.

Until then, get outside and enjoy life!

You could have chosen any blog to read, but you chose mine, and I’m honored!
