Marching With Powerful Intentions

How you do one thing is how you do everything! It doesn’t make sense to go into a situation with unclear intentions.

When I was in college, my dance/theater professor told me the above statement. When I was 19, it didn’t quite register what that statement entailed. He might not have looked like much, but he sure did have phrases that made you step back and shout.

I remember like it was yesterday; he would yell AGAIN as loud as he could. Whether we were doing a leap or a 2-minute choreographed piece, it didn’t matter. If he didn’t like what he saw, he would yell AGAIN and do it with the intention of standing out in the crowd this time.

After every class, my feet would be sore to the touch; sweat would run down my face for 30 minutes. All I could do was sit and stare off into space.

As the months rolled by, I began to show up to that class with a strong, intent look on my face. I was determined to be the best my professor had ever seen. Of course, I had every intention of being that bitch.

How you approach one thing is how you approach everything

  • The way you raise your kids
  • The way you treat people
  • The way you save money
  • The way you spend
  • Your ability to commit
  • The way you take care of your home
  • The types of foods you choose
  • The ability to complete essential tasks

~This world is full of parents with zero intention of being a good one. They didn’t have a clear vision or plan. Therefore they went into parenting ass-backward, and now the child has to pay the cost (I will talk about this later).

~Too often, I have clients that began a healthy journey, and they have every intention of quitting when I tell them what they shouldn’t eat. So before I start on a journey with anyone, I ask them: “What are your intentions, and what are you willing to do to make this a successful journey?”

The Options

If you want to win, you technically only have one option. And that is to choose to step into March with every intention of being that BITCH.

You could have chosen any blog to read, but you chose mine, and I’m honored!

  1. How you approach one thing is how you approach everything. I’m sitting here thinking about people who always seem to rise to the top, they have this approach. And I thinking of the people who just run around destroying the lives around them because this is how they approach everything. Wow. I have to sit with this thought for a while and consider where I fall? Hugs, C

    1. Yes! I was listening to Oprah and she was talking about our intentions. I think I listened to that same message 3 or 4 times. She really made me think about how I approach things in my life.

  2. This right here:

” They didn’t have a clear vision or plan. Therefore they went into parent ass-backward, and now the child has to pay the cost (I will talk about this later).”

I tell people, “I was my parents practice-child because they were teenagers, and thank God for my grandmother, great-grandmother, and older aunts.”

Lord knows if it were NOT for them, I would not have had a chance! Lol.

    1. Thank you Tre!
Girl yes I feel you completely, I was the 5th kid and I think my parents were still practicing. LOL

      1. Well, alright, I will work on it! 💪🏻😆 Intention is a most meaningful word in my life. 🥰 Several years ago I read a book by the late Dr. Dyer, called The Power of Intention. Life changing for me. ✨
