It’s been a week, and I’m now aware of how I feel!
Over a week ago, I wrote this How dare you Sir please read it so that this post will make sense and then come back.
Okay, you read it, and now you’re ready to read about how it feels to be called or grouped in the OLD category.
So after much-needed time to ponder about this fool grouping me in the old category, I must admit that I was bruised, but I’m over it. It takes a lot to bring my spirits down, so trust and believe me when I say the fool didn’t do that. But his words did awaken a sleeping beast inside of me.
The Beast With IN
When the beast awoke, I began to step up my nightly routine, and my skin loves me for it.
Not only that, but I started to think about what the word OLD means to me.
My meaning of Old~ Giving up on me.
- Stop wanting to adventure out and see new things.
- Discontinue meeting new people that are vibrant and filled with positivity.
- No longer desiring to cook healthy, work out and be an active part of my kid’s life and my community.
- Last but not least, no longer feel the need to impress my spouse or myself.
And Lord help me if I start wearing big thick white sandals while wearing panty holes!
As long as I don’t fit on this list, I know the BEAST is still awake, and I am not old. We can’t naturally prevent aging. Over time our bodies will change; our hair will become a little greyer, our skin will have a few more wrinkles, and our minds will be wiser.
Despite all of that I’m a BEAST and will forever be a BEAST until the day I die. And honestly, I forgot just how much of a beast I am until this fool indirectly reminded me of who I AM.
TURN IT AROUND
When we find ourselves in our feelings because of what someone says, we often discover that this has nothing to do with them. Instead, we’re in our feeling because we are projecting negativity onto ourselves. AND that’s what I was doing.
By the grace of God, I will be 47 in 5 months, and that number scares me because I don’t want my number to be up. I don’t think 47 is old, but it represents the fact that I’m getting older. And getting older means you are a little closer to death.
Death is the only thing that shakes this BEAST!

I don’t have an answer to how I define OLD but I admit that I feel it sometimes, but not other times. I don’t know if that means I’ve given up– or learned my lesson about certain things?
You know I felt old the day I saw this guy at the basketball game. A few days prior I pulled a muscle in my back so I was waking crooked. I felt like an old jacked up mess!
Think of the good things that old age brings with it. Experience and Knowledge. You can very well have a quiet laughter when you see the younger generation making those mistakes which you have allready gone past.
Oh for sure! I’m beyond blessed to have reached this age and hopefully I will continue to reach higher. Teaching the younger generation is something I love and yes they def make me giggle 🤭

I love being old!
Great things come with age.
They do. And though WHO now defines anyone around 80 as old, I think at 61 I have earned the title of being old. I love this as it l can do whatever I want, wear what I like and don’t have to worry about what people think of me.
May every year you add turn on more lights so that will every passing year you see there are no scary monsters here (here being where I am)

Old is really within how one feels.
And remember death can come at any age.
I am forty-seven but people judge me by my appearance thinking I am young and twenty-seven. I am not old but I am not as young as I appear to be by many.
Sometimes the older some people get the more alive they may become.
We are all different and there is no set standard when it comes to us within individuality.
And just because we may get ticked off by certain things some people say it does not mean our feelings are hurt it just means we were irritated by their ignorance because everyone does not feel or think the same way.
You have to live out your own truths regardless of the opinions of others.
True we can die at any age but God and I have a deal going 😂
