Mental Health Check ~1/30

We have broken into 2023 and have already stolen January!

It all happened so damn fast. It seems like I was just on my couch, dozing in and out of sleep on Christmas day, and now here we are. One month down and 11 to go.

Some of us may still have our Christmas tree up! No shade or judgment; just saying. You might need to let it go or not; it’s totally your call. You do what works for you and your mental well-being. After all, that’s what matters most.

It’s something about those Christmas lights that can carry you through dark times during the holiday season.

Anyway, I hope everyone is having a fantastic start to your New Year. But if you are struggling, know that you are not alone, and my blog is a safe place for anyone looking for one. I will never tolerate anyone who makes you feel uncomfortable in this space.

Drop a sign below so we can keep us with each-other!

You could have chosen any blog to read, but you chose mine, and I’m honored!

  1. after most of the day with my parents at the hospital, my mental health is screwed….dad’s admitted, arguing with everyone, refusing or is confused or whatever, and mom’s at het wits end….and no time for a run even….not sure if hot tea and lots of mindless tv is going to help…….

    1. Warren I’m so sorry!!! You’re not alone my friend. I sure hope tomorrow is better and your dad stops arguing. Even though I know it won’t happen, parents get more bullheaded the older they get. I cringe at the thought of me being an argumentative older person.
If you haven’t watch White Lotus yet, I highly recommend it. It will wipe your troubles away for tonight.
Cheers to a better tomorrow. Keep me posted!

      1. That’s an improvement from a couple werks ago. I’ve been burnt out at work for months—trying to get through it. I’ve made a little progress, but not enough to be in the clear…yet. I’m moving in the right direction.

    1. 🤣 I have a neighbor that never walks into a particular room. So she keeps her free up all year. I told her to decorate it for Valentine’s Day, st Patrick’s and Fourth of July.
