One of the tricky things about nighttime is the constant overthinking.
It feels as though 100 thoughts can pop into your head all at once, and you can only stare into the dark and overthink. All problems seem bigger at night, maybe because it’s quiet and you can finally deal with pain, trauma, illness, deceit, etc., alone.
You can hear yourself think.
But what does losing sleep over a problem solve? Nothing!
Do yourself a favor and rest so that your rested and clear mind can go into a new day with hope and love.
Good night and sweet dreams!
You could have chosen any blog to read, but you chose mine, and I’m honored!

Sleep is so important! 💖
It sure is and it is so sad how many people have trouble winding down at night.
I agree with you Belladonna.
Thank you Sadje, I hope you had a great rest.
You’re welcome
I play ball sort in my iPad. Always puts me to sleep.
I bet! Sometimes if I want to clear my mind I’ll play pacman.
Oldie but a goodie👍
Sure is!
So beautiful post! Thank’s Belladonna!
Thank you Elvira! Hope you are having a great Tuesday.
You are welcome Belladonna, thank’s!
Happy Tuesday!
I journal before bed and write a to do list. Seriously clears my mind
Journaling defintely does help.
I feel like I’m pretty good at “living in the moment” until I’m awake in the middle of the night. Then I have no idea what to do.
Same and I hate that. Then I worry about the dumbest things, for example “are my coupons expiring tomorrow”. LOLOL
So relatable, Belladonna. You are so right “what does losing sleep over a problem solve? Nothing!”. Wonderful post.💕
Thank you Grace! The night caan bring on some strange worrying habits.
My pleasure. So very true 💕
Thank you for this simple reminder about how important and refreshing sleep is! <3
So important! Layla Thank you so much reading.
Well said
Thank you!
It’s as if my mind is on steroids in the middle of the night. I try and stop my thoughts but it’s futile. Getting up, finding some paper and writing down my thoughts seems to be the only way to put them to rest. Hugs, C
That’s been me all this week. So last night I thought maybe I’m supposed to talk to God right now. So I did and I tell ya it was just what I needed.
Writing is such a therapeutic way to calm yourself so you can enjoy and good night of rest. Hope you are having a fantastic day.
Worrying is a habit. But the positive side is you may find a solution to a nagging problem. Though the flipside is at the cost of becoming an insomniac.
Uggghjj so true!
