When I was 16, I decided that being overweight or unhealthy wasn’t my part to play in life. I’ll leave that role for someone else.
My mission is to live a long and uncomplicated life. This is all in my hands; I hold power to obtain health, and so do you. Yes, of course, some things out of our control may occur, but we can’t worry about that. We have to focus on the day-to-day stuff we do to improve our lives.
Choosing health and a healthy balance is something you have to make every day. It’s not a switch that you can turn on and off. You can’t sit around all winter, neglect your body from good choices, and then kick it in hyper mode to get that bikini body you long for.
So what do you think the typical recipe is for a quick fix?
If you said starvation and overtraining, then you are correct. But, listen, I’ve been in the health and fitness industry since I joined the military at 18. years old, and I’ve seen it all. And I’ve also witnessed those same folks that lost 20- 30 pounds quickly gain it back even faster.
They thought they were doing the right thing, but soon their bodies told them otherwise.
The key to being fit is to make it a lifestyle. You have to learn how to balance your life with the foods you enjoy eating with exercise and healthy options. It’s also wise to practice portion control!!!!
Not long ago, I went to HomeGoods, and I purchased the cutest plates that match my larger white plates. I use my larger plates for special occasions and my smaller plates for everyday use. I can feel my plate up with my lunch and dinner and make it look like a massive plate of food, but in reality, it’s the perfect size that I need to become full without overeating.
You can do several things to trick your brain, but this one is my favorite.
It’s vital that you choose to make health an option every day because the more you incorporate it in your everyday life, the greater the chance of it becoming a natural part of your life.

I agree with you. The best decision I made health-wise since covid was to join a gym and make it part of my daily life.

Yes, it is, and I am happy you made the choice and many of us have. If nothing else, the daily workouts at home close my rings and give me a burst of much-needed energy. I try to eat right, but I have to confess to a bit of cheating here lately…I’m still in birthday mode haha. Hopefully, the workouts will keep it from sticking to my thighs!

Absolutely it is! Working out is a must for life! And you look fabulous! I must admit that there are times I fall off the wagon, but I usually jump back on it again! 🙂

This is my niche and I love the way you have written this. Also, I agree with what you have shared, being healthy is a choice, we cannot just sit and then work hard and then again sit. We need constant efforts, healthy choices and a perfect balance.
