Look After Yourself Friday

What are you doing for yourself today?

It’s Friday; this is the day you set the tone for the rest of the weekend. So choose to do something that puts a smile on your face and happiness in your heart.

Don’t forget to drink plenty of water, do 30 minutes per day of exercise, and hang out with the people you love.

I would love to know at least one thing you are doing for yourself today!

  1. I poured a cup of coffee, put my feet up, and read your blog! Good start. Next I’m going to make grilled cheese sandwiches for lunch, light a fire, watch a movie with the grand kids from the tent they built under the dinning room table. Julie and I will do a little yoga, then before dinner we’ll open some good wine, and cook up some raviolis! A perfect day…Hugs, C

  2. This will sound awful, but I let myself lose my temper today. I have a toxic new neighbor who raises the volume on her TV after she was asked nicely to turn it down, deliberately drums on the walls and cabinets, and slams the doors. For over a month I put up with it, with just polite, professionally-worded emails to the manager (because there was no point in talking to the neighbor anymore, not that the manager did anything positive). Then I got home this morning from a great session with my physical therapist, a really kind, super smart, close listener. I was feeling good, almost completely pain free, when the toxic neighbor began slamming open her cabinets and drumming on the wall for spite. I grabbed a heavy jam jar and began hammering on the wall in a fury. Suddenly she got quiet. I don’t know how long it’ll last, but letting my power out felt really good. Thank you for your blog, your posts are positive energy at a difficult time!

    1. Well that’s really crappy of your neighbor! Sometimes being polite just doesn’t work but if you let them think you have gone mad then they listen up. I totally can relate to this and I hate she tried to ruin your perfectly good day. I’m happy to hear you are feeling pain free.

  3. visited my physio…apparently I just need to strengthen up my core. so, yep, that’ll be my 30 minutes….and a day of rest and chilling….oh yeah, and painting the interior of our house

  4. I am treating myself to fried catfish tonight. I haven’t had it in several months, and I have EARNED it from the week I’ve had. Lol.
