Truth or an active imagination?

I’m interested in what y’all think about the story I’m about to tell. I know some believe in evil and good spirits, and some not so much. I, however, believe in both, and I love a good ghost story. So if you do too, buckle up, buttercup, and enjoy.

She was asleep in her bed without a care in the world. She always slept with her T.V. on because it brought her peace. Every night it was the same shows that glared on her screen. Old black and white shows that played on T.V Land were her favorite.

More specifically, Make Room For Daddy, Car 54, Dick Van Dyke, Mary Tyler Moore Show, Donna Reed, Andy Griffith, and Leave it to Beaver.

You know the classics!

This night wasn’t any different than any other night except for what happened at 1:34 a.m. But, this night changed the course of her life from then on out. She knew when she was alone; she wasn’t. But, the feeling of protection and destruction would remain by her side.

On this particular night, she had just drifted off to sleep, and at precisely 1:34, she jumped to her feet. She heard three loud knocks on her door. The first bang woke her, the second bang had her on her feet, and the third bang made her yell out. The Knocks were so strong they made her door shake. Yet, for some reason, she put her fear aside for strong curiosity.

She walked breathlessly to the door, put her hand on the knob, and swung the door open. She gasped as she looked into pure darkness.

She yelled out, “Mom are you there, Dad, is that you”?

No one was there, so she walked to her parents to see if they heard the loud knocks, but to her surprise, they were sound asleep.

And that’s the night everything changed!

To be continued…….

Do you believe in spirits?

You could have chosen any blog to read, but you chose mine, and I’m honored!

  1. I definitely believe in ghosts because I’ve seen one. I wrote a blog about it a long time ago Bella. I called it Lost Soul. Dated 4th January 2020.
I really like your story Bella 😊

  2. Girlfriend, you done drifted off into some Twilight Zone, Alfred Hitchcock stuff. 😂😲🤣 You know, if I am watching TV and drift off to sleep, subliminally I dream about whatever is playing in the background while I am sleeping. So, on that note, just like the father at the end of Poltergeist took the family to the hotel and then pushed the TV out of the room and onto the corridor, I no longer have a television set in my bedroom. 🤜🏼📺🤛🏼 Just sayin’. 😱

    1. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Those two shows were classic TV!! These kids today have no idea.
Girl I would die without my TV😩 but your dad wasn’t playing. He said not my baby girl 🤣🤣🤣🤣

  3. I believe in spirits; both evil and good. I also believe in not testing or upsetting the spirits.

Um, ole girl better get her mind right over there. Whew!

  4. Spirits are among us, good and bad. Just like in Job, going to and fro, in the spirit realm! The classics, I’m a 80’s teen, I watched them all. Twilight, Alfred, Mary Tyler, leave it to beaver, happy day, live it to Lucy….. What else, is a only child to do!

    1. I definitely felt like an only child. My siblings are just h older than me and were checked out, moved out and left out of my upbringing so much like you tv was my thing 😍🙌🏽

  5. Very chilling story! I do believe in spirits and I agree with you, if there are good ones then you have to believe there’s also bad ones. But this was just the story to get acquainted with before Halloween. Thanks for sharing!
