Look After Yourself Friday

You are one incredibly lucky son of a gun!

Don’t you get it? Today you get to do something that you may not be able to do tomorrow. I mean, I don’t know about you, but I don’t have a clue as to what tomorrow brings.

So hear me out. What do you have to lose if you chose today to be the day you begin to look after yourself?

It’s about damn time you put your health on your priority list and stop looking crazy at the people making good choices. I know you all know what I mean by this!

There are people that will frown every time they see people working out or wearing an outfit that makes them feel good. But, unfortunately, those hateful people take the easy way out by eating like a wild savage beast and then looking at others with vengeful eyes.

There isn’t a need to be envious of someone that is achieving what you are capable of achieving. You are capable of attaining absolutely anything you put your mind to, no matter your age. In fact, age is just a number when it comes to fitness. You may have to modify specific moves, but as long as there is breath in your body, you will be able to exercise.

The one thing you should focus on

This one focus is easy to remember. Are you ready to know what it is?

The one thing you should focus on is being a better version of yourself. And you can achieve that by taking care of yourself. First, you must begin eating food that fuels you. Healthy food will not spike your insulin and then leave you feeling sluggish. Junk food will leave you crashed on your floor and looking crazy!

So make this FRIDAY a day you look after yourself!

What are you doing for your fitness journey today?

You could have chosen any blog to read, but you chose mine, and I’m honored!

  1. Excellent, Belladonna. This is an energy giving post. Just as Kym does wonders to cheer up my lost spirit, you have further motivated me to get up and do something that will transform my life. Thank you so much. These are the kinds of posts that I am looking for. Well done, my friend. ♥️♥️♥️♥️

  2. Since starting a steps app on Valentines day 2022, I have managed to walk 550,000 steps..Definitely not 10,000 a day but 550,000 more than zero which us quite an achievement, now I need to keep up with mindful eating habits which is still a challenge. We had a work lunch where we chose a sandwich, I treated myself to a pulled pork bbq with coleslaw on top. It came with a pickle. My job offered potato chips and free soda. I packed my own water and a side of grapes. I took very few chips and avoided the cookies all together. My coworkers some of which are diabetic took and overabundance of both.

    1. Good job!!!! Keep up the goodd work. having a pulled barbecue sandwich sure ddoes soundd good today.
It’s great that you turned down the cookie aand just enjoyed your meal. When we eat regular meals, snacks become something we no longer want. They’ll give you a quick sugar rush and have you coming back for more and more.

  3. Today is recovery day for me. I did weights Monday and Wednesday, spin class tues and Thursday, so just walking today.

  4. Hear, hear. I agree that we all need to remember to take care of ourselves. I try to be a better version of myself daily, both in the sense of physical health and mental health. As long as I’m doing my best each day, I can be happy.
