Look After Yourself Friday

Why do we continue to put ourselves last?

When my kids were small, I felt guilty if I carved out a small window in my day to work out. I felt like I wasn’t present if I focused on myself. Then as they grew, so did my guilt.

There I was, ensuring everyone was taken care of, well, everyone but me.

Well, screw that! Put yourself back on the list. Your health is a top priority. If you aren’t healthy, you won’t make healthy decisions for everyone who depends on you.

There isn’t anyone or anything that can stop me from looking after myself. If I don’t do it, who will?

You could have chosen any blog to read, but you chose mine, and I’m honored!

  1. there was a Lululemon session where we had to list people we most worried about ( I think) or something like, and none of us included ourselves….I guess we sometimes/always forget that part of the equation.

    1. Yes, Warren we do. Often times we are told that if we put oour selves in top of the list, thata would make us self centered.

During your session it would have been wonderful if someone listed themsleves. It’s okay if the person you’re most worrie is you! Especially when it comes to our mental health…that’s an area I love dividing into.

    1. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I love my peloton trainers. They are all crazy and so down to earth. This was Cody talking in this video and he is a hot mess and everyone adores him.

      1. Oh my gosh, well I love the Buttercup reference. Now, that would get my butt to working even harder too! LOL 🤸🏻‍♀️💪🏻🏋🏻‍♀️

  2. I definitely agree with it. If I don’t look after my own health, then who will.
2020-22(before june) were bad years for me. I thought I will be able to workout at home. But, many reasons broke the continuity. In june, I rejoined the gym, and I feel really good. I’m in good condition and doing really good.
