Part 1 Love stinks
After he kicked her out, she ran to another room and begged to use their telephone! (This was the 90s; cellphones weren’t a common item to own).
I sat on the other end of the phone in disbelief. All I heard was loud screaming, and after she calmed down, she told me where she was and how scared she was. She heard him yelling her name at the top of his lungs as he looked for her. Finally, when she knew he was gone, she ran out of the hotel.
It took her a little over an hour to reach her parent’s house.
When she arrived, her shirt was ripped and hanging off her shoulders. She could barely talk because her lip was swelling more and more by the minute. And the LOVE of her life had left her right eye black and blue.
Her father had enough and was ready to end him once and for all, but she and her mother begged him to calm down. What good would come from her father going to jail or prison, depending on what he would do to this coward of a human being? So her father stayed home to comfort her, and she fell asleep in his arms that night.
She went to LOOK for her LOVE
When morning came, she needed to see him again. She had suspected she was pregnant, and it turned out she was. Her mother knew she looked different the night before, so she bought a pregnancy test. After waiting five minutes, the results became their new nightmare.
She knew he would be at the Motel, so she headed off to tell him the news… but he wasn’t there.
Monday Morning Delight
I’ll never forget the smile on her face when her jobless LOVE showed up at our job during her lunch break. The last time they spoke was on Friday…well I guess spoke isn’t the correct word choice, but you get my point.
He came looking for her because he wanted money, but for some strange reason, she couldn’t wait to tell him that he was going to be a father. When she told him, he hugged her and told her she needed to quit her factory job because being there could harm the baby. (As if beating her would help the baby)!
So with a huge smile plastered on her face and a spark in her eye, she did just that.
The beatings continued…

I am speechless. I can relate to it because my brother too fell in love with a greedy bitch who tortured him to no extent after marrying him. She married him only for money. Love certainly stinks when you get deceived by outward appearance.
I’m glad you brought this to the conversation because men are victims too!!!! Way to often they feel less than manly if they admit that a woman is abusing or mistreating them! I hate that!!
I sure hope your brother is out from under her evil spell!!!

There are so many problems with that relationship, it’s hard to know where to start!.
She obviously has confidence issues and can’t cope been alone. If I met someone like that, I would run a million miles, because if they can’t look after themselves, they wont be able to cope with a child as well.
He is just a flamboyant loser going nowhere. He is what he is, and he’s certainly not a ‘fixer upper’.
I hope this relationship has taught her who she can be and what she’s worth. I really hope she’s had enough of this life, and that she can spot the red flags if they arise in the future. I read a stat, I want to say about a year ago, that it typically takes an abused woman 7 attempts at leaving before they actually and finally do so. *Sighs*
I believe that stat! It usually takes the woman to feel complety beaten down before she scoops up what little pride se has left. You can talk inot you are blue in the face bu if she’s not ready to leavethen she will not.
There’s so much truth in this:
“If she’s not ready to leave, then she will not.”
Nope, she won’t. 🙁
And this wasn’t the first time he wet the bed. The first time he blamed it on her because she put blue sheets in the bed and it made him think of water 🤦🏽♀️

Doggone it Belladonna, you are killing us here. But if she made the decision to go back, I already think I know how this might end. There are too many situations that I personally know of where this scenario played out, not ending well for the victim or their baby. SMH 😠
I will never understand how these woorthless men are able to get their claws on good women.
Especially a woman that had a father in her life.

I will never understand what draws women to this kind of creep. My mama raised me right. I have never, and will never, raised my hand to strike a woman. I won’t even criticize my wife in public, and rarely criticize her to her face. My definition of love is quite a bit different.
Amen to that Jeff! We are missing real men such as yourself.Too many men are out here with multiple girlfriends, drinking and partying with zero future in sight.
Omg so heartbreaking. The sad part is that this happens to women so often and a lot of them are never able to leave their abusers.
