Love stinks

Yeah, that’s right!

If you put dirty dead fish in a Cadillac on a hot summer day, love would smell worse. I don’t think you could do anything worse to yourself than give in to the rotten, filthy desire named LOVE.

Don’t get me wrong, I love to love, but I can still be honest about love. I wouldn’t wish it on my worse enemy.

It’s easy to walk away from the people that you don’t love but not from the ones you do. They have a hold on you like nothing you’ve ever felt. It doesn’t make sense to me when we allow the same people back in our lives after they have proven to be nothing but assholes. Yet here we go making excuses or, better yet, trying our best to find a reason for their behavior.

Good luck with finding one that makes sense to you.

You can’t make sense of stupid and foul behavior, but LOVE will have you trying.

She Was Fooled by LOVE

I had this friend.. Well, I suppose we’re still friends; it’s just that I haven’t seen her in about 16 years. Anyway, when I was in college, I worked at a factory during summer break and met her there. She was a young confused girl that didn’t have much going for herself. I heard she used to be an intelligent girl, but everything changed when she fell in LOVE.

Her boyfriend used to punch her in the face, spit on her, cheat, and would spend all her money.

One day during our lunch break, I saw her crying, so I asked her, “what’s going on.” Through her tears and broken heart, she told me she was tired of being hit. She loved this guy so much that she gave up her family to be with him. Her father was furious and hated him, but there was nothing he could do to change her mind.

So here she was, suffering in silence…. all for LOVE.

$5.00 Is All I Had

One day after work, I drove her home, and she told me that there wasn’t any food in there Motel they were staying in. So I took her to Mcdonald’s and spent the last five bucks I had on me, then I drove her to her Motel.

As soon as I unlocked my front door, I heard my phone ringing. It was my friend. She was crying harder than I had ever heard her cry. Apparently, the love of her life had beaten her up, crumbled up the food I paid for, and smashed it all over her face. Then proceeded to kick her out of the Motel she was paying for.

Oh, did I forget to add that he was jobless and had been in prison for the last five years for theft?

Sorry to leave you with a cliffhanger; I’ll feel you in with the rest tomorrow. Stay tuned!

You could have chosen any blog to read, but you chose mine, and I’m honored!

  1. To tell you that this both angered me and upset me is such an understatement. I really hope there’s a happy ending to this story. I don’t want to read about her dying. 😢

  2. I really enjoy seeing both sides of the love coin here. And I applaud the way you called it out. We spend so much time idolizing love, we often forget whats on the other side of the coin. Love is a tricky thing. These types of relationships can be hard to escape for more reasons than just love though. Often there is a trauma bond or the threat of leaving is worse than the threat of staying. In any case, your friend deserves better and I hope she stays safe!

    1. I totally agree!!! I know it’s hard to leave a toxic relationship and it requires by standers to be patient and to keep talking to the abused party. It’s a long process. She’s better than ever now, so proud of her.
