Today can be the first day of your fitness journey.
First, let’s address the things you don’t need to accomplish your goals
- There isn’t a need to get a gym membership.
- There isn’t a need to wait to fill your cabinets with expensive foods
- There isn’t a need to purchase outrageously priced equipment
- There isn’t a need to pay for an expensive trainer
- There isn’t a need to work out seven days a week and only eat salad.
The things you have to do is believe in yourself and want to feel better. Once you put your needs ahead of your wants, you are golden.
Way too often, we start so strong and workout seven days a week, only eating salad and talking fitness 24/7. Then the burnout happens! When that occurs, we go back to square one or work out so much that injuries come and slap you in the face.
Your body needs breaks!
It is impossible to go from doing nothing to doing something every day. Your body is like your brain; it needs time to rest and recover.
I see this time and time again…. clients begin their journey with unrealistic goals that include not eating much and working out like their training for the next Olympics. I have to step in and remind them that food is fuel and that the Olympics is not for you, me, or anyone I train. Instead, our goal should be to live longer, healthier lives- INJURY FREE!
And we can all do just that, so why not start today? You will never meet anyone that will tell you how much they regret being healthy and fit.
