We’ve all been there. Well, maybe not all but most of us have been there!
The other day I was thinking about conversations that I’ve had with different people. The topic that I chose to reminisce about was “those that love to give advice.” And let me add that they are not qualified to advise a child, let alone an adult.
When I began thinking back to the past, I realized that some of my worst decisions came from unqualified opinion givers. I mean, to this day, I still regret listening to them, but at the time, I didn’t know any better. I figured you undoubtedly know what you’re talking about when you are of a certain age.
But no, don’t let the age of someone fool you. Because at one point in their life, they were young and dumb, and now they are old and dumb!
You have to force yourself to become educated on issues the are of great value to you. If you rely on others to guide you, you will enter into a world full of unfortunate events. Depending on the blind to lead me ultimately left me either; full of heartache, pain, bills that I couldn’t cover, and a bed of lies.
At some point in your life, you have to stop trusting everyone and stop believing that everyone has your best interest at heart…BECAUSE THEY DON’T! You have to trust less and do your homework a little more.
However, please take note of who steps up with advice the next time you find yourself in a dilemma of having to choose between situations that will dramatically affect your life. If they aren’t in the position to give good sound advice, then don’t take it.
I would love to go back in time for a flash and say:

You are not the one to be giving advice on college
You are not the one to be giving advice on dating
You are not the one to be giving career advice
You are not the one to be giving self esteem talks
You are not the one to tell my deep thoughts too
You are not the one

Guuurrrrrlllll Belladonna, I don’t know what caused this flashback, but you certainly sent me back to times where I listened to others, trusting their advice, only to find myself in a cesspool of deception, betrayal and regret. 😫 Oh honey, you live and you learn don’t you? 😲 Shame on them the first time they got by with it.
