The power of hope is a beautiful thing!
Today I was sipping on my coffee as I scrolled through Instagram. While scrolling, I stumbled upon something that I desperately needed. I heard voices that gave me hope. The first person that I heard was Michelle Obama. Need I say more? To me, Michelle is a lady that oozes strength, power, class, and wisdom.
She’s actually all I needed to get me kicked into gear. But then Maya Angelou began to speak, followed Oprah, Kerry Washington, and Angela Bassett. So right about now, I feel like I can fly.
I know I’m not the only one who needs to hear an inspiring word from strong women.
What I learned this morning
Okay, I pride myself on being a tough customer and being able to take whatever is thrown at me or gently tossed. But let me tell you, everyone has a breaking point, and on times like that, you need to rally around people that can feed you and give you HOPE!
Life is challenging, and we all have our highs and lows. So on your good days and bad days, choose uplifting people in your circle. Too often, we come up empty-handed because we have people in our lives that take, take, take and never think twice about offering encouraging words to you or a shoulder to lean on.
I’m thankful that I have that, and on days they aren’t present, I can plugin and find exactly what I need.
Today put me back on track, y’all, and all it took was “5 ladies and 2 ears”.
