Goals are like clean undies

Going through life without a plan is like wearing dirty undies on your head..it’s a terrible look and makes you look a little cray.

Okay, now that I have that insane picture in your head, let’s roll with it. Would you feel productive if you went through life with dirty undies on your head? Hopefully, you said no; in fact, I’m assuming you said no! It may sound ridiculous, but going through life without a goal is just as bad.

So today, I propose a challenge for everyone. This may take a little time because I don’t want you to say the first thing that comes to your mind. So instead, sit and think about what goals or goal you want to set for 2022. Then hold yourself accountable. 

How to set an achievable goal

At the beginning of each of my clients’ journeys, I ask them;

  1. What do they want out of life 
  2. Are they prepared to take every step needed to reach their desired goal
  3. Are they surrounding themselves with people that are showing up in a positive form
  4. Are you prepared to spend time alone and embrace your thoughts

If the answer is yes, then it’s time to get started. I would love for you to share your goals with me in the comment section. Your goals can help motivate or put a spark in someone else. 

So today lets choose to write out some goals because just like clean undies, we need them!

  1. Well, I already accomplished the most important goal before the new year even started! We quit vaping as a couple! That never happened when we were regular smokers. Then we switched to vaping and Dave mentioned that he wanted to quit. I thought, “no way.” Then we got COVID. Just the thought of doing something that would make my chest hurt scared me to death. So it was a done deal, but that doesn’t mean I don’t still want to do it…crave it even. So that leads into the next goal, shaping up. I have to stay busy to keep from vaping or thinking about vaping, and I got an Apple Watch for Christmas, so the fitness program has started already! I just hope my energy stays up!

    1. Good for y’all!!!! One day at a time and it will get easier. So glad you have a Apple Watch now and let me tell you a new addiction will start! 🤣 meeting your step goals becomes a daily competition.
      I have a feeling you are going to nail your fitness goals 💪🏽

    On a more aerios note, I’m more than happy to tell you my goals and they’re baby steps:

    1. Wake up at 6am every morning, listen to “Ooh, Child” to get me pumped.

    2. Drink 8-10 glasses of water everyday.

    3. Walk 1 mile then slowly increase!
