Discipline

It ain’t easy to achieve, but you can do whatever you put your mind to.

How To Begin

We first have to appreciate who we are and where we are in our fitness journey. Then, acknowledge and embrace the fact that bettering yourself isn’t easy. If it were, then everyone would be in tip-top shape. And well, we know that’s not the case. But, we also know that it can be the case if we want it to be.

We all have the opportunity to make good decisions; we have to stop overcomplicating everything and comparing our bodies to others. Undergoing surgeries to get a tummy tuck, gastric bypass, or a sleeve will not make you your ideal self. Now don’t get me wrong, I’m neither for nor against any of the surgeries. But, I’m indifferent and feel like you should do what’s best for you.

However, surgery will not fix nor change the way you see food. Nor will it change your level of discipline. You have to change yourself. A surgeon does not deserve the credit for helping you keep the weight off..that’s done with self-discipline. YOU DESERVE ALL THE CREDIT!

I have clients that have had surgery and lost 100 pounds or so, kept it off, and now look and feel amazing. I also have a few that managed to gain their weight back, plus a few additional pounds. And the only thing different between them was their level of discipline. After surgery, you still have to work out and have a positive relationship with food.

The Process

The first thing you need to do is enjoy it! You have to speak friendly words to yourself and dress as if you love yourself. The better you feel, the more you will respect how you treat your body. And as a result, you will desire to become more disciplined.

Side note~ I hate how people look in there before pictures. Their shoulders are rounded, their hair is a mess, and they look like they are ready to jump off a bridge. So I make my clients smile and act silly because if you aren’t having a good time, this process will be a struggle, and I’ll feel like jumping off a bridge.

Discipline

Pick a time that works best for you three times a week and then wing it for the other two days. If you do it this way, you’ll eliminate stress from trying to keep up with a strict schedule. Make sure you keep a good mixture of food and various yummy snacks. This will make your life so much easier.

Most of all, compare yourself to yourself and only you, and remember if others can succeed, then so can you!

You could have chosen any blog to read, but you chose mine, and I’m honored!
