Yelp guys, this is it. Everything is on the line.
The Wait Is Over!

Are we going to proceed to the playoffs, or will this be my son’s last high school football game?
Today I’m a big ball of emotion. Well, I’m always that, but today is different. My son is a senior this year, and he’s playing his last year of high school football. I don’t think I can put into words the joy I have felt to be a part of his life this far. God trusted me with him, and I tried my best to be all that I could be.
Oh geesh, that sounds like a cheesy Army commercial from back in the day. “Be all you can be in the Army”! I fell for that line in 1994.
Anyway, this is about my son; let me try and focus
Tonight is the night that we have been waiting all season for; our boys go head to head with the team they have been craving to beat since the moment they stepped off the field after a horrible defeat. On the first day of practice, they trained as if their lives depended on it, and every night they dreamed about defeating the enemy.
This is their opportunity to do just that!
Will they defeat the enemy, or will they have to walk away and talk about this game for the rest of their life.
I’m sure you have all heard high school football stories. I know I’m not the only one. But, man, they are the best stories, and they keep getting sweeter over time. Especially if it ends in victory and not “The quarterback should have thrown the ball to me YA SEE, we would have won YA SEE (myah myah).”
Positive Vibes ONLY!
You could have chosen any blog to read, but you chose mine, and I’m honored!

Girl!!! You are about to cold lose your voice tonight. Lol. Good luck to your son’s team and may it end in victory. Keep us updated, please!
My voice is out!!! 🤣🤣
We ended up losing but it was a great game and my son showed out!
Aww. But I’m glad your son did his thing. Now, take care of your voice. Lol.
Thank you! I’ll be sippin on tea all day. I feel like I played in the game. LOL
Well sista’, let me just say this. Whether they win, or whether they lose, you will still have one fine looking young man with amazing talent long after the stadium is cleared. 🏈🏈🏈 You still have reason to celebrate with or without a trophy (although a trophy would be a nice addition)! 🥇🏆📣 Now go on, and show your butt off proud momma, and cheer to your hearts content!!! 🎉✨🎊
Thank you so much!!!! We ended up losing but it was a good game. My son played his behind off. We had to give him a pep talk before he went to bed and now he’s a peace with it😁
My voice is out!!!!! 🤣🤣🤣
😔😥😣 Oh girl, I am so sorry to hear that the team lost, and it’s hard to swallow when you put your all into it. I’m glad that you all were there to help him understand the disappointment, but the comeback, even if this is his last year with this particular team. You are so supportive and now you need to try to get your voice back! 📣🗣👄😂 Enjoy your weekend girlfriend!!! 🥂
Girl, we had to give him his space when he arrived home and then he was ready to talk. So my husband and I talked and talked until we saw a smile and he went right to sleep. He was in a great mood this morning and excited about the playoffs. Kids are a mess and will send you on the highest and bumpiest rollercoaster ride. LOL
Oh my goodness. Kids are quite resilient in spite of, so you just roll with it I suppose. 🎉 🎢 🎇 Try to have a FANtabulous weekend girlfriend. 🎡🎪🎠
Thank you!!!! You to Kym💖
I’m late to the party and am sorry your son’s team lost tonight. However! Don’t think of it as the end of his high school season: this is really the beginning of his adult life, when he starts thinking of not only college but what he’ll be doing afterwards. It’s when dreams get launched. The hard part will be letting them go when they want to forge ahead. But you know this already. Congratulations to you and your fine young man!
Thank you! You made me tear up from your encouraging words. I think letting go is the hardest part of parenting. Here all these years I thought getting up in the middle of the night to care for them was rough….nope! letting go is.
But I’m grateful!
So handsome and hardworking, so proud of him 😍😍
Your such a good big sister!

A wonderful mom share. 💝 Best wishes to your son.
Thank you so much Michelle!
Good looking son! Sorry about the loss, but he’ll carry these lessons forward…how to deal with disappointments…how to move on to the next thing. ❤️
