Feeling Dizzy? 9 ways to fix it

As we age, our bodies change!

When it comes to aging, I have good news and bad news. Which one do you want first?

Excellent, good news first. Well, the good news is Yayyyyy you made it! And well, the bad news is your body is going down the tank, internal as well as external. We have to work harder and harder every day to stick to a schedule that makes sense with our lifestyle.

When I turned 40, I noticed that my body was making drastic leaps to reach old lady town. My metabolism was getting slower, and my ability to lose a pound became a massive challenge. I could eat a peanut and gain weight. But my body went downhill when I turned 45. Talk about massive dizzy spells. They were insane!

I don’t think I can explain how angry I became when I felt dizziness creep up. If I bent down and stood up too fast, it would hit me. I could pretty much do anything, and I would get light-headed. So I had to come up with a plan quickly. Now, this might not work for you, and you may need to consult with a physician.

Taking Charge of My Dizzy Spells

It may seem challenging at first to stick to a daily regimen, but you have to try if you want to see results. If you wish to see changes, you have to change your lifestyle.

1.~Sleep ~

Turn your technology off and get some sleep. Your body needs time to heal and recover from whatever you did today. It doesn’t matter if you worked out or not. Our bodies need downtime.

2.~ Water ~

Dehydration will cause internal organs to fail, make your skin and hair lose their natural shine. Your digestive system may be compromised, and yes, dizzy spells will be present. It’s so important to drink at least half your body weight in water every day.

3.~Eat~

Figuring out which foods work for you is one of the most important steps you can take. Stick to a regular eating schedule and make it your new way of life.

4.~Vitamins~

A multivitamin has become a staple in my life, and taking “Goli” apple cider vinegar gummies. You’ll get your daily B9, B12, and a host of other goodies.

5.~Exercise~

It’s unbelievable what increasing your heart rate and getting a good sweat in will do for your mind. Your cardiovascular system depends on you making good choices. Not to mention you will be in a better mood after a good sweat.

6.~Meditate~

Closing your eyes and centering yourself will allow you time to stop moving and breathe. Calming yourself will bring balance and awareness to what you need and don’t need in your life.

7.~Read~

A good read can give you the escape you need and prevent your brain cells from turning into mush. Give social media a little break and explore what else the world has to offer. Feeling intelligent makes you feel good.

8.~Pray~

This is key! No matter what you may be going through, prayer will ease your mind. Prayer will give you hope and the determination you need to keep moving.

9.~ Laugh ~

Sometimes, you have to remind yourself to act like a joyous child and laugh. Be silly and have a little fun. You can’t be “all work and no play.”

Let me repeat, this may not work for you, and your doctor should be notified if you have regular dizzy spells. If all checks well at your appointment, then try this checklist and stick with it.

Dizzy spells be gone!

You could have chosen any blog to read, but you chose mine, and I’m honored!

  2. These are some excellent tips Belladonna, although I don’t suffer from dizzy spells (at least I don’t think so). Although opening up a few of my bills makes me a little dizzy though! LOL 😂 😝 🤣

These suggestions are actually good to practice anyway, especially as we get older, and that old metabolism starts to wind down a little bit more! Lookin’ good girl! 😎

    1. 🤣🤣🤣🤣 spending too much money makes me feel weak, moody, and irritated.

As we get older our bodies become stubborn and acts like a moody teenager😩😂

      1. Oh no, not the moody teenager!!! LMBO 😆 Girl, you are too hilarious!!! Thanks for the laughs this morning, because I can feel ya with the spending part. UGH, it can be a Debbie Downer, especially when you have to s-t-r-e-t-c-h those dollars and cents! 😝

      2. Wishing you a FANtabulouse weekend too, no matter what you do or don’t do! BTW, let someone else in the house do the cooking for a change and give you a break!!! LOL 😂 😆 🤣 Cheers! 🥂

  3. Great tips and great timing, too! I’ve been feeling very dizzy this week. I know it’s probably the hormones, but these tips have found a welcome ear! Definitely going to try the ones I haven’t been doing yet and see how that helps 🙂

    1. Yes and follow up with getting blood work done at your next doctor visit.
I’m so glad you found these tips helpful and I hope you feel better. Feeling dizzy every day can make you so frustrated.

      1. Amen to that. It’s my iron, though. It always is (thank the Universe for making me a woman with tons of hormonal drifts, lol!). So I know how to fix it, but more tips are always welcome as I’m not too fond of all those pills and meds.

      2. My iron was low too and they told me I was anemic, which explained my cold hands and feet! Now I load up on spinach, bison and everything but pills. I refuse to get started on that unless I absolutely have too.

      3. I understand. I feel lucky I can compensate with vitamin pills before the really tough medicine, and fortunately I *only* need it during specific times of the month 😅
