The Wait Is Over ~October 1st~

This past weekend was cray, so this post is extremely late, but here you go. Meet me at the end of the post so I can give you a follow-up.

We are headed into game six with a 4-1 record. Hopefully, we can maintain the one loss and man handle this team. By the way, I just may shed a tear tonight at the game. Unfortunately, it’s Senior Night which means my husband and I will walk the field with him to announce his bio.

Y’all, I’m crying as I write this, so there is no hope for me tonight.

Maybe if I get all my cry out now, then I’ll be all cried out by the game time. I’ll keep you posted). Wish Us luck!

Conclusion

I cried like the loser I am. I also had to give my son a big ole hug and a kiss after walking the field with him. Geesh, he stills my heart, and I can’t put it into words how much I’m going to miss that face when he’s in college. But I’m blessed to have him alive and well, so that fact keeps me going.

Moving on to the game!

We won, but it was a nail-biter. My nerves were shot after the game, and all I could think about was how good my bed was going to feel. And it did not disappoint.

You could have chosen any blog to read, but you chose mine, and I’m honored!

  1. Congratulations to your son for making the team and for the big win. And you’re not a loser, Mommy. Watching your kids grow up isn’t easy because you want to keep them children so you can hold them in your arms forever. When my oldest son graduated high school in 2009, I cried because I was hit with the realization that he wasn’t my baby anymore. He was a grown man. But later I realized that no matter how old he gets, he’ll always be my baby. So, understand your tears, sweetie. Sending you lots of love and prayers. ❤🙏

    1. Thank you Cheri! I’m holding on tight to every moment with him. My daughter is a sophmore in college and not being able to see her sweet little faace in person everyday is a shock tto my system.
      They grow up SO FAST!
