Mental Health Check ~Anxiety is a BEAST~

How are you doing?

I’m in the process of searching for the reason why I’m triggered at the start of Fall. By triggered I mean, my anxiety is HIGH, like through the roof high.

I felt my body shifting into a depression-like clockwork, and I began to worry about everything. I was always in deep thought, and I constantly reminded myself about all my heartache, childhood trauma, adult trauma, and words thrown at me that can never be forgotten.

With a snap of a finger, I’m back to being the strong woman I know I am. But the process of getting to that point was exhausting and literally left my brain feeling tired. I know my lack of sleep during that time didn’t help my anxiety or brain.

However, this year my anxiety was showing its behind because boy, oh boy, I was triggered, and my nerves were shot. To deal with it, I stayed in constant prayer and focused on my diet. Believe it or not, the things you choose to eat can either help or negatively add to your anxiety battle. So if you’ve noticed, I began sharing fitness tips again, and I will continue to do so. Because staying fit helps my anxiety, and I swear by it.

Season Change and Anxiety

The more I talk about my anxiety, the more I learn about others. It’s mind-blowing the number of people triggered (and I don’t know why I’m using that word, but it kind of fits) at the peak of a new season. That doesn’t necessarily mean you don’t enjoy the upcoming season. I love the Fall, but yet I’m triggered!

If you find yourself in depression, worrying state, eating more than usual, working out more than usual, sleeping less, sleeping more, or wanting to isolate yourself, you may want to talk to someone you’re close to.

But more importantly, know that you aren’t alone!

There is a reason for feeling the way you feel. The people around you may not understand what you are going through. And guess what, it isn’t your job to educate them. During this time, you need to focus on yourself, eating right, and surrounding yourself with powerful things for self-growth.

You’re only job is getting better inside and out!

You could have chosen any blog to read, but you chose mine, and I’m honored!
