I have a severe issue, and sometimes I need motivation.
Yes, the motivator needs a motivator, and I blame it on my weakness for TikTok. If you haven’t joined, then do yourself a favor and stay away. Tiktok is a time suck, and without you knowing it, an hour or so has moved through your day like the speed of lightning.
And you will be left questioning your whole life.
I feel like the world’s biggest loser when I waste precious time on TikTok. When I sit down and turn that addictive app on, I tell myself, “self, we aren’t doing this today; we are going to scroll on this app for 10 minutes and then move on.”
An hour and a half and a thousand laughs later, I’m up and ready to do whatever it was I had planned to do. But now I’m hungry, and it’s time to meet with clients and write.
Then before I know it, it’s 3:00, and my workout is still cruising on an incomplete. But if I had an alarm that yelled at me and resulted in me dropping my phone and get back to life, I would be more than happy.
Think about your alarm clock in the morning. As soon as you hear that annoying sound, you have indeed reacted. That sound makes you move. Either you wake up and start your day, or you get up and turn it off. Regardless of the action, it undeniably made you react.
And that’s exactly what I need to make me get off TikTok and finish my workout.
So yesterday, as I finished up my daily scroll session, I heard this sound that folks were using on their videos that made them jump. So I decided to use the sound as a reminder that I need to STOP SCROLLING and get my ass up!
