The Shrinkage Is Real

If I haven’t learned anything else in my 45 years, I realized that shrinkage is absolutely real!

So women, listen up because this is for you.

I can’t speak for men because, as you all know, I’m a female, so that’s who I speak out for. I can’t teach a man how to be a man, but I can for damn sure teach a young lady how to be a strong woman.

I have two little girls, and my number one job is to raise them into women that will never shrink down to make any man comfortable. If their strength makes a man second guess if they’re the one, then guess what they aren’t right for my girls. Every woman should speak up and speak out. Go for the job usually intended for or expected to be considered a “man’s” job.

3.  Financial analyst
4.  Farmer
5.  Firefighter
6.  Aerospace Engineers
7.  CEO
8.  Aircraft Pilots
9. Flight Engineers

It’s Breathtaking to see a feminine rise in many of these fields. However, as a society, we still have an extensive amount of ground to cover. As parents, we have to encourage our girls to go for careers out of the norm for females.

My girls were always a part of the STEM program. Starting at the age of 8, they took robotic and higher-level thinking classes offered at Georgia Technical Institution. Now, if, for some reason, they decided to carry out a different interest, that’s fine, but at least they know there isn’t a limit.

I never want them to shrink into a box that society may try to place them in. Women are natural-born leaders, truth talers, multitaskers, and we need to stand firm on that truth; Daring anyone to force us to shrink.

I have seen women become small enough to fit in a man’s pocket.

And there he is, looking and patting his pocket, daring her to jump out. I’m sure his fear of her is overtaking his ability to think straight. He wants to be the hero and protect his damsel in distress but she’s lacking the hopelessness and the need of rescuing. 

So women don’t pretend like you need saving if you don’t. If shrinking is the only way you can get that man then, he is not worth getting.

Shrinkage is real… Stay tall and move on…. the world is waiting on you!
