Saturday Morning ~French Toast Topped With Warm Cinnamon Apples~

The highlight today is the warm apple topping!

I’ve made this french toast 1000 times and have switched up the type of bread I use. I think any bread will work as long as you slice a little on the thicker side. Thin slice bread will crust quicker and not leave much to be desired.

Thicker sliced bread will allow the cinnamon, brown sugar, and vanilla to soak in more places. The slices will be juicy and delicious!

Now let’s turn our attention to the apple topping.

I used two large apples, and that was plenty for six servings.

Apple Topping

6 Servings

  1. 2 large apples (Don’t Peel)
  2. 1/2 cup brown sugar
  3. 3 tablespoons butter
  4. 2 tsp vanilla extract
  5. 3 tbs cinnamon
  • Melt butter in your pan and then add apples
  • Cook until they are slightly softened
  • Add cinnamon, brown sugar, vanilla,
  • Cook for 2-3 minutes on low heat
  • Remove from heat and serve immediately

This recipe holds up well the next day. All you need to do is add it back to your pan for a couple of minutes, covered and on low heat.

I hope you enjoyed this recipe. I will be adding recipes back to my blog. I stepped away from adding them, and a blogger friend of mine brought that to my attention. I appreciate her missing them and wanting to see more.

Have a Happy and Blessed Saturday!

You could have chosen any blog to read, but you chose mine, and I’m honored!
