Give Me That Back

Is it selfish to snatch things back that you once gave to someone?

What if that something is your energy?

Lately, I’ve seen a lot of people boss up and take back their energy. And I think that’s amazing. I applaud you for having the sense to know that your energy is wasted in the wrong area and on the wrong people. It doesn’t matter how long it took you to come to the realization. Just be proud that you recognized it and took your energy back.

Before the pandemic struck, I found myself giving more and more of myself to people that complained a lot. Not your typical complaints but more whining about things they can control but choose not to. You can control who you open your door to and allow to lay in your bed. That’s another story for another time.

I had clients that I constantly had to talk of the ledge. I know that’s my job, and motivating people is what I’m supposed to do. And I pride myself on being good at that. However, I will not waste my time convincing anyone that being in shape is better than not being in shape. Nor will repeatedly ask you to send me pics of your meals and a daily food log. I know you’re hiding something when the phone goes radio silent.

That irritates me.

I use to fuss and allow clients to frustrate me to the point of no return. But not anymore. I snatch my energy back by asking them to please find another trainer.

Snatching your energy back works in every area of your life. You have to be bold enough to walk away from everything that is leaving you feeling depleted.

For instance, say you have a friend that calls you all the time to talk about her problems and never once ask, “how are you?

Then proceed to take up all your time and never once take any advice that you give her. But yet you allow her to come back and repeat this never ending battle.

That sounds insane to me

You are allowing this one person to stand in the way of you finding like-minded friends. People that will make you better and vice versa. As long as you keep the soul suckers in your life, you will not have time or room for welcoming positive energy into your space.

Remove the unwanted and take your energy back. Put your energy towards all things that are beneficial for you and your soul.

NO more wasting time!

You could have chosen any blog to read, but you chose mine, and I’m honored!

  1. Yes!! Great post as this is such an important thing – to recognise pointless energy/happiness drainers and encourage a change and if that change doesn’t appear then re-assess and remove.

  2. Totally agree with your opinion.
It’s the choice of an individual person on how to spend their time & resources.
If another person can’t understand that, then surely take that support back.

  3. A very important concept you are pointing to and writing about, Belladonna. Energy is such a valuable finite store, we must protect it, and use it wisely. Lovely post! ❤️

  4. You know Belladonna, when I read your title I thought you were referring to giving a gift. 😜 But I so agree with you 💯 about reclaiming your power and energy. People will beat you down with their idiosyncrasies, and you find that their issues have zapped all of your energy…and for what? Look out for yourself and your well-being, especially when it comes down to those energy bandits!!! 😱🤓😵

I love this girl. Great post girlfriend. ❤💞💖
