I’ve Hit The Big 1000

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you for helping me reach 1000 WordPress members to my crew!

All of my life, I wanted to do two things;

  1. Become a professional dancer and actress
  2. Become a published author and write plays

Somehow my life took another turn, a great turn non-the-less. But just a little different than I had imagined.

I know so many of you can relate!

I love my life and proud of the direction it has and is going. But with my kids getting older, I’m stepping into another phase of my life. I’m no longer needed to lend a hand to teachers, drop off and pick up three kids from practices. My husband and I are down to one high schooler that drives and one middle schooler that will be a breeze to shuffle back and forth. After having to shuffle three, one is a piece of cake.

I refuse to live vicariously through my kids or willow away when they leave home for good. I want to have a plan. Let me rephrase that I need to have a plan. 

When you give up everything and decide to raise kids, you kind of lose yourself in the process, and that hurts. But what hurts more is not ever finding yourself again.

A year and a half ago, I said:

“I will make time for me.”

“I will be a priority.”

“I will no longer be on the bottom of my list.”

“I will pursue what makes me feel like I can fly.”

So to stay true to me. I began isolating myself from everything and everyone that didn’t fit into my plan. And y’all know I love to make a list. I need my list so I can stay focused on my daily, monthly, and yearly goals. If I want to be different, I need to write out my vision and make all the proper steps.

Writing on my blog has been a HUGE self-confidence booster, and I THANK ALL OF YOU for joining the crazy train that I call a brain.

I appreciate all the feedback, comments, and likes that I receive every day. All the love feels extra good coming from WordPress because writing is near and dear to my heart.
