New Youtube Channel

Howdy Everyone!

I am pleased to announce that my brand new Youtube channel is up, and one video is live.

If you followed me on my old channel, you know that I grew that channel relatively quickly. I was doing quite well, but it didn’t feel right. When I made my last five videos, I told my husband that I wasn’t having fun anymore. The thrill was gone, and boredom had set in.

I know if I’m feeling bored, I can’t expect my audience to be into what I’m saying.

I know my delivery had to sound awful!

After I filmed and posted my last video, I listened to it and said, “nawwwwwwwww that ain’t it.”

That prompted me to change my whole format and loosen up a bit. When I listened to my audio, I told my husband that I sounded so uninteresting. The problem was I wanted to film like the others I saw on Youtube. I saw their style worked, but quickly realized that just because it worked for them doesn’t mean it will work for me.

Being on social media can get tricky.

You start to second guess your strategy when you look at someone with a vast following and see that they are consistently putting up a substantial number of views. I tried to adapt to their style and throw my personality out of the window.

Big mistake….HUGE MISTAKE (Okay, I had a “Pretty Woman” moment).

I love that movie!

But it was a massive mistake because I’m a loud, energetic, busy body that loves to crack jokes in my everyday life. And my youtube channel and, quite frankly, my blog doest demonstrate that side of me.

I tried to get in where I didn’t fit in, and it felt uncomfortable.

So I decided to dust myself off and give it another GO.

  • Day to Day Vlogging ~ giving you a close-up look at my life

      1. You are, as ever, most welcome! I have to admit that I only look at YouTube rarely and then just for old music vids. In fact, the last time I looked anything else was you with that lasagne challenge! 😉
