I tried to avoid the green monster, and I almost got away with it!
Then life happened and left me digging for healthy snacks, and the first recommendation was…… the GREEN MONSTER. So I am now drinking 16-18 ounces once a day, and I LOVE IT.
Go Green First Thing
As soon as I get up in the morning, I crave the monster, and it’s funny because I didn’t know until a few days ago that you should drink this first thing in the morning. I’m always left amazed at the human body. If we listen to it, then we will be healthier externally as well as internally.
I like, so many others will ignore the “check engine light” and continue to go about my day and say I’ll go to the doctor tomorrow or I’ll start eating super clean on “Monday.” And why is Monday are go to day? If you know you are sluggish, need to lose weight, need more sleep, or in desperate need of exercise, why wait until Monday. When we wait, our problem will worsen, and we will continue to dig ourselves into a deeper and deeper hole.
Morning Green Juice
As soon as your body awakens from its nightly slumber, you need to pour antioxidants into your system. When you do that, your body will absorb the nutrients quickly, unlike taking them with a meal. When you choose to drink it with a cooked meal, some of the nutrients will be lost to the bacteria in your gut. Now I have paired green juice with a meatless salad, and that was fine to do. But it’s best if you drink it in the morning and at least an hour before coffee or your next meal.
- 2 cups of spinach
- 4-5 ounces of orange juice
- Enough water to make to smooth
- High in antioxidants
- improve your eyesight
- Decrease cancer cell growth
- Reduce blood pressure
- Promote healthy hair and skin
If you are looking to lose a little weight, this is a great go-to because it’s low in caloric intake and will keep you feeling satisfied.
