Because this is the month of Love, every day, I am going to share one thing that I LOVE!

I love the fact that my daughter is brilliant! She’s living at her dream school free of charge and making college look easy.

Let me add to that by saying my husband and I invested in her education and made sure she was well-rounded.

WE SACRIFICED!

When I tell you that my husband and I sacrificed, I mean just that. We wanted to be able to supply her with the expensive tools that are necessary to move ahead in life. Our goal was to invest now in hopes to save later. So here are the things that we did, in hopes that our plan would work.

Thing 1

We sold our house in a good area, but we needed to live in a great area. If we had stayed at our old location, we would have spent $20,000 per year on private education. We sold our beautiful 3 story house and moved to an area with a school system that was/is rated top in the country. But this move meant that we would have to live in a townhome and pray to the heavens that we would be able to afford a home soon.

Long story short, two years later, we had another home built and lived happily ever after.

Thing 2

We focused on her being active in sports, keeping her grades up, volunteering in our community. And most of all, encouraging her to be believe in herself. We needed her to be strong, independent and to know that she matters.

Her voice matters

Her needs matter

Her presence matters

Her desires matter

Thing 3

I’m a proud mom, and I love her with all my heart. And that drives me to focus and make sure that she’s better than me. And as long as there is breath in my body, I will do whatever I need to do to make sure of that.

The greatest gift that I can give this world is a productive human being that will make a difference.

  1. Wow, and again I say “ well done Momma”. Thank you have a beautiful family and you are being rewarded with amazing gifts for all your sacrifices. Things always work out in the end don’t they and we become richer in many ways. So happy for you and I need to visit her blog and check her book to support 🤗

  2. I understand dear Belladona. I raised-up 4 children and now I watch my four grandchildren. I had AWOL parent and I ensured my children lived in one place, same schools and having safe place to live. My grandchildren goes to the same schools as my children. Watching four children graduating from the same school over the years. My greatest memory. I lived in 11 foster homes and I went to more school that I can remember. You are a good mother and father. We give our children the opportunity to shine or to fall.

      1. When you don’t know what a good home is. A foster home can be okay. I was lucky. Most were very kind to me. My sister had some bad ones. My AWOL parent taught me. I would try to be better. Thank you dear Belladonna for reading and the kind words.

  3. Sounds like everything worked out and our children are so important to us. Congratulations for a happy time in your life as they grow up and time flies by so fast. You sound like wonderful parents my friend. Blessings to you and to your family. Love ❤️ Joni
