LOVe Me16

Because this is the month of Love, every day, I am going to share one thing that I LOVE!

I love my kids with all my heart and I’m so proud that they are good humans and RESPECTFUL!

Yesterday morning as I was sipping my coffee and getting my day started while listening to a little bit of Ariana Grande. And a text message came in just when I was about to hit that high note that she is known for. Well, I guess I wasn’t going to hit it quite like her. My note sounds more like Elmo on drugs, but you get my point.

A friend of mine was texting to tell me something that changed my entire day.

A few times a week, my son drops my daughter off at school, which is a HUGE help. And then carries on until he reaches high school.

So anyway my friend was texting me to see if my son was dropping my little one-off. I said, “yes, that’s him, is everything okay”? My heart was pounding because I immediately thought that something was wrong.

Here is her response to me.

They were behind me in the drop off line and I wanted to share a couple of observations with you. 

First…it was so cute how I could tell he was telling her not to get out cause they were too far back so she wouldn’t have to be in the cold too long. (They were behind me and in that spot where it’s a little awkward and you don’t know if the kids should get out or if you should pull up for the next round) It was obvious even in the rear view mirror that he was looking out for her. 

Second…he is a very good, polite driver. He (unlike a lot of teen drivers) was not aggressive or ‘speedy’ at all! Just a nice young driver…so refreshing to see! 

Just wanted to share that with you. I know a lot of people tattle on poor behavior but I love to reach out when I see the fruits of loving parents’ labor hard at work! You’re (not so little anymore) man is great driver and very kind.
