It all started at 7:30 this morning!
I woke up with my darn alarm clock going off. It was time to rise and shine and get ready for my daughter’s soccer game. I washed my face, brushed my teeth, and through on the first thing I saw. Grey pants, white shirt, a sweater to tie around my waist, and a white sweater to keep me dry fro all the rain. I combed my little soccer player’s hair and headed down stairs to get me a cup of coffee.
My daughter forgot her water bottle, so I ran into the garage and handed it to her before her and coach/dad pulled off.
Went back into my warm, cozy house and slipped back under the covers. Checked my emails and text messages. I always check that first thing in the morning and respond to all my clients. As I scrolled through, I saw an email from the devil… I mean, Bath and Body Works! I swear we have a love-hate relationship. I try really hard to stay out of that place. But they have a few items that I would hurt someone for.
I deleted the email as soon as I saw $10.00 off of 3 wick candles.
I have to stay strong!
I went to my daughter’s soccer game and filmed another great win as I always do. (Well, for the past two weeks anyway). So I can post it on our team page, and the girls can watch it later. I waited for my husband to get done talking to his team so I can congratulate them on another great win.
I hugged them both, and then I was off to my car, and I knew they were probably headed to chickfila like always. That’s there Saturday morning treat. I, on the other hand, was supposed to be headed to the grocery store. BUT………..
WHAT HAD HAPPENED WAS!
My car took over and drove me right to Bath and Body Works. I resisted and told myself not to go inside, but a little invoice inside my head kept saying in a low, soft voice…

I struggled because I couldn’t fully understand what this voice was saying. So I said, please speak up, and it said:

I thought to myself, well, I’ll just go in and look around, but I won’t buy anything. Even though I do have a coupon for 20% off of total purchases. But I will keep that in my pocketbook because I’m only looking…Ya, that’s right, just looking.
When Things Went South
I walked into the store and began browsing around. I looked at a few of the hand soaps. And then I walked passed the candles oh so casually. I pulled my mask down to smell a few of my least favorite ones, and then right when I was feeling strong, I smelled my favorite one and just like that…

You could have chosen any blog to read, but you chose mine, and I’m honored!
