3 Tips To Shake Off Your Love Handles

Trying to lose weight can be downright annoying.  So let me help guide you through this journey bit by bit.

My first tip of the three is, Don’t Freak OUT. Calm down and ask yourself these 3 questions and then proceed… with caution.

How much time are you going to give your body to change?

How much do you love yourself?

How often do you say something kind to yourself?

I know you have heard this saying before, but I’ll say it anyway, just in case you haven’t. “You didn’t gain this weight overnight, so don’t expect to lose it overnight.” That is one flaw I feel will all have in common. We want to rush the process and become frustrated when the weight sticks around. Frustration often leads to giving up and going back to bad eating habits.

Rest Your Body and Stop Thinking About Food

Go to sleep with the TV off and set a bedtime. We do it for our kids but seem to forget that we need uninterrupted rest too. Have you ever realized that it takes you longer to mentally process information if you’re tired? Well, your body works the same way. Releasing weight can be done if you listen to your body and GO TO SLEEP. Then there’s food. Occupy your time with other things that make you happy. Often times we do extra snacking because we are bored!

Drink Water

Our bodies are made up of over 60% of water. Drinking water regularly will ensure to maintain the appropriate amount that your body needs in order to perform correctly. If you ever find yourself suffering from waste removal, then you may need to up your water intake.

I’ve recently advised my clients to drink warm water with a fresh squeeze of lime. (if you suffer from acid reflux then this isn’t ideal for you).

The citric acid in limes will help boost your metabolism, causing you to burn more calories and store less fat. Limes have a great source of vitamin C. Which, acts as an anti-inflammatory agent in the body.

During cold and flu season, a few more limes and warm cups of water have been proven to shorten the life of the cold.

Yes, this is a short list but a valuable one. There isn’t a need to overload yourself with information when you are beginning your journey. Remember to enjoy this process and say something beautiful about yourself every day!

You could have chosen any blog to read, but you chose mine, and I’m honored!
