Just Ask Me

All you had to do was ask me to be patient and to help you get through this challenging time!

But for whatever reason, you chose to distance yourself and disregard my feelings. When you saw me walking into the room, you walked into the bathroom and closed the door. Later I found out that you sat on the edge of the tub with your head in your hands. Your thoughts were filled with the notion that you were in this fight alone.

Your silence left me to question our entire relationship.

I believed that the problem was me, and I needed to change to make you feel again.

Where

go wrong………

Dear Men,

Being a woman is the most strenuous gender to be. There are so many chapters in our life, and they don’t necessarily go hand and hand with the previous one. We have to figure out who we are time and time again. Starting at the ripe old age of 11 or 12, we have to begin stuffing our underpants with the bulkiest pad and then create the illusion that we feel good enough to play that sport we love so much. Even though our cramps are relentless.

Our bodies are started to get a little curvier, and this weight gain came out of thin air. How and when did we get a butt and thighs this ginormous…must be the hormones!

Now let’s plate that with several pregnancies.

This chapter looks different than any other chapter in our book. We literally had no idea that we were reading a horror story. This book could easily be mistaken for a mystery. But once we see that our bodies can gain a whopping 50 plus pounds in just a short while and not to mention stretch marks and a sagging butt. Oh, we know now that this is a horror story.

So yes, we cry and claw our way back to find any sense of normalcy. Which sometimes requires us to walk the opposite direction of you and lock the door. We need alone time because you can’t help us. However, we should learn to tell you that we hate what we look like right now and that we yearn to be the person that we remember. When smiling, felt natural!

Asking you for a hug may seem like a simple task. But when uncontrollable sadness is feeding your soul, those words are quite tricky to get out.

You may be thinking….. “Just ask me” for what you need, and the sad thing is, so are we.

Love,

Women

You could have chosen any blog to read, but you chose mine, and I’m honored!

If you are a woman and this post reminds you of you, I would love for you to reach out to me. My emotions were everywhere after having three kids. I fought like hell to lose weight and feel like me again, and I want you to do the same. May God guide and uplift you!

  1. Beautifully and powerfully written. And while most of us experience all
or at least 99% of this, still every journey is so unique and different. We all deal with it differently and some of us can put things away others can’t. It’s truly a truly complicated and painful process most of the time and a little understanding and compassion can go a long way. Thank you for sharing this. ❤️

  2. I think most women have felt like this at some time or the other. Being a woman is exhausting sometimes especially because we end up doing so many things and trying to juggle everything.
