Re-Opening Georgia

Yesterday in the great state of Georgia, Governor Kemp decided to re-open a few businesses. So on Friday, you will be able to go bowling, get your hair cut, nails did, get that tattoo you’ve been itching to get. Then head over to the gym and get that workout in. I believe that some of the large gyms will remain closed.

Then on Monday, restaurants and movie theatres will be open and ready for business. The schools, however, are remained closed for the rest of the academic school year.

Kemp made his decision after looking at the model that is often cited from the White House. The model indicated that Georga hit its peak 13 days ago. But the same model predicts that dozens of people will die each day in the coming week. However, in order to limit a resurgence of the virus, the model says that Georgia shouldn’t start relaxing social distancing until after June 15.

Georgia just maybe the new hot spot, and when we are, that’s when he’ll take action.

Kemp Stated that we have the capacity to house more COVID-19 patience…so I guess that means we are all good. I mean, if we can accommodate them, then let the party begin. (sarcasm)

I wonder how many more people have to die for him to shut down the state again? I wonder why he lacks empathy for the families that have buried loved ones due to COVID-19?

~Is it because it hasn’t personally struck his family?

I often wonder why we have to personally go through a storm to feel how strong the winds are.

I really can’t express how I truly feel right now. Mostly because the news is so fresh. But I do ask for everyone to pray for all of the healthcare workers. Their lives are put on the line every day, and Kemp is choosing to throw more fire their way!

You could have chosen any blog to read, but you chose mine, and I’m honored!

  1. It’s a frustrating time, a worrying time. We’re in New York and it looks like we’re going to remain shutdown for some time to come. I guess it’s a case of … we’re not going to eliminate this, so we shall have to do it in stages, slow stages so that people get ill in small batches, die in small batches rather than all at once. I reckon that things will open for us slowly and if it looks like there’s going to be a massive wave of the hospitals being overwhelmed, then things will close down again. Until there’s a vaccine, it’s all they can do. Keep yourself well and stay healthy. Thinking of you over there 💕 Katie

    1. Thank you! Please stay well💗
I wish our Governor would rethink opening everything all at once and give us a better reason for doing so. All we know as of now is that we have enough space to house the sick. So I’m assuming if we run out room then we’ll be back on lockdown.
