Mr. Wrong

Waking up with the sun beating down on her face and the smell of pineapples, strawberries, and kiwi is in the air. The palm trees are blowing ever so slightly. If you just stand still, breathe deep and slow you will see them move. The sound of people laughing and carrying natural and uplifting conversations are heard as they walk past your room. The energy is positive, and hope is in the air.

But all of a sudden realized what time it was and what time he said you must be gone. So here you are 35 years old, single, no kid, full of possibility but choosing to sink to the bottom of the barrel for a man. A man that is secretly tied to someone else. If you looked deep at the clues, you would see that you aren’t his only one or even a consideration in his world. He brought you back to this beautiful hotel room last night, but he didn’t expect you to fall asleep and stay the entire night, yet. Here you are. Before Mr. Wrong left for meetings at 8:00 in the morning, he told you to see yourself out by 9:00 and Mr. Wrong would call you when he gets a chance. Did you catch that when he gets a chance part?

It’s 10:00 and you are rushing around to gather your things and all of a sudden there is a knock on the door, and you try not to move or breathe too loudly. But for some odd reason, you decided to yell out who it is? Housekeeping she will return at another time.

Several weeks pass by, and you haven’t heard from him, not that you haven’t tried to call, just no luck with him actually picking up the phone. Yet you eagerly await his call. Your anxiety level is through the roof, and each day that passes, you are losing sight of who you are. You are ignoring the fact that he is Wrong for you mentally, spiritually and you aren’t taking care of yourself physically anymore.

When he finally calls you, you are left with a choice. Either you will say yes to the promotion for your job and head off for training immediately or meet up with Mr. Wrong for a moment of cheap passion and romance. You know that when this night is over the probability of hearing from him is slim to none. Which will you choose?

You could have chosen to read any blog, but you chose mine, and I’m honored.
